Pricing Information

DeGroot Media handles pricing with flat quotes.  This means that when you get a quote from us, that is what you will pay for your project to be completed.  We find that most clients prefer to work this way, rather than pay hourly rates, as this seems to be too open-ended, and concerns arise that a production can go on much longer than anticipated.  Because we price our services in this way, there are some terms that we would like our customers to be aware of.  These are listed below, so that you know exactly what is, and is not included in our initial quote.

Because each and every project is unique, there is no simple formula for determining how much your production will cost without first requesting a quote.  There are, however, several different factors to be aware of that can greatly influence the cost of a project.  These include things like the length of the animation, the style (2D or 3D), whether characters are included, and the overall complexity of what you want to achieve.  For instance, a 3D character animation with 5 characters and 10 different environments will cost much more than a simple 2D motion graphics animation with website screenshots.

All quoted prices include:

• Delivery in any two video formats. Additional format conversions will be subject to a $10-per-conversion charge.
• Delivery of all project files and assets. This will be provided in a .zip file upon request at project completion.


Quoted prices do NOT include (unless otherwise stated):

• Unlimited revisions.  Clients will be given progress renders so they can steer the overall direction of the animation during production.  Any large scale or "after production" revisions will be billed at our hourly rate (minimum $45/hr).

• Sound design or audio recording/mixing.
• Photography or video production.
DeGroot Media does offer the above services separately, or at an additional cost.

• Purchase of any stock materials, such as music or photographs.
• Purchase of voiceover/narration recordings, or subsequent changes to the voiceover.
DeGroot Media may elect to cover these costs initially, but will subsequently bill the client for reimbursement.


Payment:

50% is due up front before production begins, and 50% will be due before delivery of the final product.

Invoicing is handled through Paypal. Accepted forms of payment are credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express) and direct bank transfer. Personal checks are also accepted upon request, but may delay the start of production while the check is mailed and cleared.


Production Length:

A typical project is completed within 1-2 weeks time.  This can vary, depending on the complexity of the project.
